Task

The main task was to create eye-catching and interesting promo for Sprite in Azerbaijan. We had an important goal of engaging social network users, increasing brand recognizability and increasing of the promo followers on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.

Target audience

Men and women from 18 till 35 years old; Azerbaijan residents or citizens; social networks’ users.

Promo mechanics

We developed a system, which gathered photos using hashtag from three social networks (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter). All the photos then (after moderation) appeared on the main website in the news feed.

Prizes

The participants had a chance to win certificated for 500 Mbytes mobile internet, trendy T-shirts, PlayStations and the main prize – three VIP tickets to the most known celebrity events in Azerbaijan.

Promo results

The results of the promo exceeded any of our expectations. Hashtag #ozunkimiol (“Be yourself”) is currently the most popular one among user of social network Instagram in Azerbaijan.

As early as within first week more than 100 photos were published on Instagram with hashtag #ozunkimiol. After half a month the number of photos with hashtag #ozunkimiol became more than 3000.

Upon the promo start the amount of codes registered per day increased by 80%, the number of user registrations per day increased by 200% within 1 day. As early as by the end of the first week the users started to win the main prizes of the promo.

A pleasant surprise was that the wave was caught by many celebs in Azerbaijan. Photographers, music composers, bloggers and TV-presenters each of them had no fear to show themselves in the new light, in a very different way. For example, the TV-presenter Ilkin Gasani have shown himself as capable gardener, popular boxer Ali Ismailov changed his boxing gloves for guitar and renowned photographer Orhan Aslan turned out to be into martial arts.
