"Matreshka": Vkontake and Facebook applicationWe developed the app "Matreshka" for the promo by Samsung in social networks Vkontakte and Facebook. The promo was held in Kazakhstan.
Our main task was to create eye-catching and consumer-attracting promo to promote Samsung and its new smartphone Galaxy S5. The main aspects were modern design and bright colors.
Young people 22-35 years old, living in Kazakhstan, active social network users who are interested in technical innovations and innovative gadgets.
To participate in the promo one had to join the group Samsung Kazakhstan and invite his friends to join it through the app. Thus, the cyber-matreshka of the participant grew bigger. The winner was chosen as the owner of the biggest matreshka – the one who invited more friends to join and whose invitations were accepted.
The prizes of the promo were the following: chargers for the phones in shape of matreshka and the main prize – smartphone Galaxy S5. First 60 participants who invited 300 friends to join won the recognition gifts: matreshka-shaped chargers with SD-flashdrive inside. And the winner at the end of the promo won the Samsung Galaxy S5 smartphone.
We created 2 apps for social networks Vkontakte and Facebook. Besides the main page with matreshka and “invite friends” function, the app includes pages for Rating, Prizes and Rules. Within first few weeks the participants gathered the matreshkas as big as 1000+ friends. Therefore this is the indicator of reaching high level of audience engagement by making it viral and of fulfilling our main task – increasing the recognizability of Samsung as brand.
