In 1903 the butcher Friedrich Buchholz founded a spice mill and named it Moguntia.

The name Moguntia has own historical sense, since Rome's spice trade with the Germans started in Moguntiacum, a Roman camp at the mouth of the River Main.

Then Friedrich Buchholz propounded the idea to standardize sausage spice mixtures and to determine in recipes. This simple brilliant idea made real revolution in the meat industry.

At the moment factories "Moguntia" are located throughout Europe.

Since an ancient times till nowadays aromatic plants are used to create a composition of the food additives.

Moguntia has only one goal: to continue giving direction to taste, technology and security.
